For the financial year 2024-25 (FY25), MSEs have contributed a significant portion to the government's overall procurement needs, totaling 42% of all purchases made by the government.
The Public Procurement Policy for MSEs was introduced by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises to encourage government departments and Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) to purchase at least 25% of their annual requirements from MSEs.
